The Children

Whoa!So these foster kids of Grace's are really adorable. I mean even when little earth boy (that's what Geo's blogging nickname will be) was choking and turning purple, and we had to resort to the heimlech maneuver- he was cute. Okay, so having food coming out of your mouth can be unattractive no matter how cute you are, but he really is adorable. Earth boy and Chatterbox are both very smart and witty. They (at times) can be disobedient and Very naughty. However, they are so sweet :P! Chatterbox LOVES talking on the pho ne to "grandma" and hardly gives me a chance to talk to her when she knows who it is. Earth boy likes the phone too, but you cant really have a conversation with him on the phone.

URG!

Hello again! I am in Baltimore, Maryland at the moment. We came up from Philly for the regional conference that we have every year. So, we have been staying with some of the "Bonass family friends". They have a 4-year old son, and a 1- year old foster daughter. We have been staying in their finished basement. It really was okay, but..... here's the thing:
Tuesday we were suppossed to go back up to Philly to pick up 2 new foster children. However, as soon as we arrived in the area of our house, we received a call saying that the foster kids weren't going into the system after all. So, we went right back down to Baltimore. We got their and had a good time for awhile. Then, yesterday, Rob had to go back up to Philly for a doctor's appointment. He was suppossed to be back that evening to take us home. However, his car broke down on the way there. To make matters kind of worse, G's mom went in labor while we were in church the other day, but we couldn't pick him up. So, we are officially STUCK in Baltimore! This town in SOOOOOOOOOOOO boring! The only good looking people I have seen this whole trip in Baltimore were people that went to church. No offense to anyone reading this that may live in Baltimore. It is just that however good looking you may be, I obviously did not see you this week. There is nothing to do at these people's house. We are at the library now, but it's not like I have a card and can take out books to read. If I could I would take out like 15 magazines and be reading till midnight at least.

Hi Everyone

How is everything going????? I am having a great vacation in Philadelphia. I have to use my friend's computer to update my blog, but other than that, everything is going wonderful. I will see all my friends in washington before too long. For my sweet sixteen birthday, I am going to have a retrol birthday party here. In fact, if my sister has another foster child, I am making their costume. Gevione has been taken back to his mother in the rehab shelter although it is a result of perjury. My sister's blog will probably tell you alot more about that event and the circumstances behind it.

Today's update from the office of Aimee

I am very exhausted. I am not sleepy at all though, esspecially since I took a nap at Jetty's house today. Yesterday I did a TON of school work, which paid off. Then I stayed at school very late today which also paid off. I will post what I learned on my other blog. So, after school I came home and did a little bit of cleaning, then I watered the plants then took off to go babysit. I just got home a few minutes ago. My muscles ache and I am sick of history. So, I will keep you posted.

School

So, I got a packet done for history. I redid some business math tests from earlier in the semester and got my overall grade to be a little bit higher. Thursday I will redo some of the homework and get an even higher grade. I did part of my math final yesterday on the computer until our computer stopped working. I am about to try to finish it as soon as I am done blogging with you great, wonderful, people. I also knocked out an english essay about writings that effected the Revolutionary war. It was easier than I thought it would be once I started on it. I hope I finish school early so I can work on bringing up some of my lower grades. I dont have ANY F's or D's on my American Lit 1 progress report as of yet. My teacher, Carrie still has to put in some of my grades, though. So, I am going to go write something on my other blog now. TTYL.

Open it to page 123. 3.Find the first 5 sentences and write them down. 4.Then invite 5 friends to do the same. If your name is below I invite you to contribute My Meme ! 1. AHHHH RELIEF

So, I just heard (or rather, I got an email) from the guy that puts quiz meets together and even though they already put the alstar team together, we might have another team quiz meet from the people that made it to the top 16 but didnt become a member of the all star team. I would be one of those people, so I sent the email to him saying that I was interested and now I am waiting to hear more.
Okay, so I know I havent been updating, but I dont really think anybody is depending on me to write something everyday, so I'm not really sorry. So, I had a good day today. I am the leader during babysitting and I had to use my leadership role today, which I dont really like doing very much. I like being the leader, because everyone usually listens to me, and things go much smoother, but sometimes I have to do things like I did tonight.
So, Emma and Tristan (two of the kids I babysit) where playing and having fun as usual. Well, things got a little hyper because Tristan wanted to SIT on top of the TOY truck. As that is a good way to break things and hurt themselves, I POLITELY asked that he stay off of it. Before we go any further, you should know that Tristan is 1 (almost 2) and Emma is 2 (almost 3). Their aunt (who is 13 and has ADD, which makes things very difficult) comes sometimes too. So, he got off, but he got back on. So, I took the truck, and put it away with the other toys, and gave him something else to play with. He was very content, but then his aunt took his toy, and gave the truck back, confidently stating that he should be able to do what he wants. Well, since I didnt want to be responsible for her being angry, I said, "Well, I dont want him to get hurt, and it isnt a good idea." Brenna (one of 2 of my helpers during these nights) said, "Aimee, you're the leader. You need to be more stern." Now, so far, Saron (the aunt) was being obstinant, but she hadnt gotten argumentive yet, so I didnt feel a need to be stern and assert my authority. Then, the fun was getting out of hand because Saron started to playfully hit Emma who didnt mind because it obviously didnt hurt. But then, Tristan (who has much too long nails) started doing it too. So, Emma now had a big scratch on her forehead that she had her hand on crying and screaming. Then, she hit Tristan as payback. It was your basic little kid fight, really.
So, out of concern I said, "That's naughty. Dont do that." Well, it worked, but I didnt want it to happen again, so I said, "Let's play the quiet game." (If you dont recognize this sneaky way to relax without worrying about a kid having a heater fall on him, you say, "Quiet as a mouse, still as a rock 123! Then everyone gets quiet, or they lose.) So, everyone agreed (Paige and Brenna REALLY wanted to.) So, I did the whole "quiet as a mouse" thingy and Saron kept talking. Even the kids had been "playing" the "game", but when Saron started talking, so did they. So I tried again. And again. And again..... and again.... and you get the idea. Well Brenna wanted me to show that I was boss and said, "Well.... do something." So I did. I said, "Saron, they really look up to you, and if they dont see you being quite, they wont understand how to play the quite game." She said, "I dont want to be quite." Well, she isnt even suppossed to be there, as she is neither toddler, infant, or babysitter. So, I suggested rather nicely that she sit down and we try again. She said, "No! I dont want to." I felt like saying, "Shut up and sit down and do what I say!" Instead, I said, Saron, we'll give you one more chance." So I did. Then she said, "they dont know how to be quite." I said, "They need to learn now to obey authority and be quite." Well, you can probably see how mad I was getting. Meanwhile, Paige and Brenna wanted me to enforce my instruction. So, I had no choice. I finally said, very meanly, but not yelling, "Saron, I am the boss and you will do what I say. Now, I said to be quite, and you are being a bad example. It is good for children to be quite sometimes and learn to obey authority." By the way in case you were wondering I wanted to add that she probably didnt have to be quite when someone told her to and that is how she turned out the way she is. However, I still wanted to be nice, so I just waited for her reply. She FINALLY obeyed and the room was finally quite..... for about 10 seconds. Then, Saron said, "Emma, you wanna come play over here with me?" I said, "If you cant be quite you have to go sit in the corner with your nintendo so you can be quite." She said, "Well can I take her over here and play quitly?" I said yes. Well, she did, and I enjoyed anothe r10 seconds before babysitting was over and it was time to leave. AHHHHHHH RELIEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Top 16

Today is the top 16 quizzing. Sort of like the final final. Instead of being on a team it's like the top 10 that happens after every quiz, except this one is top 16. And, we'll be competing against our friends. Oh well, I'll cross my fingers that they get the numbers right beneath mine. Cross your fingers for me.

freetime.

During my freetime today, I was going to go online and update my sister's blog for her (she is on a computer fast) and check my email. However, if my mum is online, I will probably draw something or write a short story. My friend, Joanna that I havent seen for like 2 years called my cell phone while I was babysitting and I'm going to be sleeping over at her house tonight. I am stopping at my house for lunch/freetime/homework for awhile until 12:20 after biology class. Then, I head straight to highschool, then I immediatly go to CPTC again for asl, then my dad will take me straight to Joanna's house. Everywhere I go I am carrying my bookbag and my purse, when I go to highschool, I get to carry my bookbag, my purse, my dinner, and my clothes for tomorrow. Okay, I've got to go to biology class to listen to a lecture about the reproductive system. Friday was about reproductive hormones, so the only thing left is the gross stuff.

uh oh

Hello there. I was expecting quiz practice (for the final of the finals) to be next Saturday, so I happily made commitments to babysit tomorrow. Little did I know that the practice is tomorrow, and I am going to be babysitting all day. Which in a round a bout way means that I wont get much practice in for jumping (something you probably wouldnt understand unless you were a quizzer). It takes alot of group practicing and that's just not going to happen. I am really glad that I made it to top 16 anyway.

Isnt it perty?

Isnt this a pretty new format? I had to lose my polls and extra stuff though. But I think it is worth it.

Wednesday, March 12, 2008

Hi there

I am moderating comments for my sister at her blog because she is on a computer fast. I call her everyday to update it while she is eating her lunch. She tells me what to say, I type it. I tell her what her comments say, etc. Anyways, nothing much is happening on the homefront. This quarter is almost over, and I am so excited! I cant wait for spring break to start. I havent seen Collin or any of my other good friends for a really long time.

Just to let you know

Hawk nelson is actually the name of the band, not anybody's name that is in the band. thelead singer's name is Jason Dunn.

I kinda plead the fifth.

So, I know it was terrible of me, but I made delicious cookies, and my broken toe was hurting, so instead of washing the dishes from them, I did the stupid thing and sat on the couch to watch At World's End on my ipod. Before I knew it, hours had passed. We had eaten dinner, gone shopping, and checked our emails. So, after dinner, my mother looks in the sink and smartly says, "Aimee did you make cookies?" If I say no, she will tease me and say that I lied to her, because both of us know she knows the truth. If I say yes, my headphones blaring with Bon Jovi will be drowned out by the consistent tone of my mothers love/disapproving voice of reason telling me the reasons I should obey her and keep my promise to clean the dishes after I make cookies. I said, "I kinda plead the fifth." She didnt say anything back, but there was a smile on her face for a full 5 minutes.
So, this morning, I didnt have my daily dose of chocolate and I was mad at her (I dont really remember why), and as a result, she was driving me crazy. I think I was actually just being obstinent and then she got mad at me because I was being so horrible to her, so she said not to talk so rude to her, and I said, "fine! I'll try not to talk to you!" If you remember doing that to your mom, you will probably also remember how incredibly hard it is. The last time I said that, my quiet mouth lasted for about 20 minutes, then went away as I got hungry. So, I decided, I am going to prove to her that it is possible, not just something every single teenager in the world has probably said to one or both of their parents. So, I when I got home from biology class, I took care of my language barrier by using sign language which she taught me alot of, but now remember only two words of. (Yes, and I-love-you.) Well, she asked me to get the laundry out of the dryer. They wer wet,so I told her in a round about way, and she gave me quarters for the machine. I came back to let her know that I did as instructed and she tried to say thank you, but instead said a combination of good and introduce. I tried to let her know what she was trying to say and what she really said and I ended up pretending I was an Indian, bowing in "thanks and prayer" and eventually let her know that she was probalby trying to say thank you and I showed her how to do it. We ended up laughing so much, we got back on talking terms in a matter of hours. I think we would have been on talking terms a couple seconds after I got home, but I really wanted to prove that communication is possible when you arent on talking terms.

Hawk Nelson

I am jamming to Hawk Nelson... I just found out that my friends and I are on youtube from last years revolve tour with Hawk Nelson. I was like OMG! Thats us! I immediatly called my friend, Lea who was with me at the Revolve tour and told her and she was like OMG OMG OMG..... you know what I mean. Oh, and I found out that he'll be at next year's revolve tour and I was freaking out.... I was like Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have pictures of him in my binder, too.

how its going

So, if anybody is wondering what the album covers are about, they are these random things my mom saw on somebody elses blog, and my sister, my mom, and I all decided to do it.

So math has proven to be easy so far, until this morning. I looked down at the worksheet I was suppossed to do, and it all blended together in a weird mix of major arcs, minor arcs, degrees, endpoints, and central angles!

My dad bought this motorcycle a really long time ago against the rest of the family's advice not to. We were right in the fact that he never uses it, and now he is pretty much giving it away. It was really expensive too. I decided that it is easier to not be mad at him if I think of it as fiction. I mean, honestly, he gives plasma so we can have food to eat, and he practically throws away 1300 dollars, plus helmets, plus probably motorcylce suits, all of which cost a fortune. I mean, he paid 300 dollars for just one of those suits, and the helmets cost like 100. Its not like we got a set of motorcycle things at a garage sell in the 75 cents pile!!!

You know what, I must be really tired.

so...

So, I never did actually get my blood pressure project back, but I'm sure I'll get a good grade on it. The other Aimee and I had to print stuff right before class so she could turn in her project today. i also promised Chase I would bring him cookies, so I had mom make cookies while I was in biology class. i was supposed to be in class all day today, but I didnt go.

my album covers

pretty easy? or not

so, i am getting back my blood pressure project and things today, and i am really hoping that its good. ill post later

Friday, February 29, 2008

Hey Everyone

So, biology class was really interesting today. we watched a video about a cancer research study that happened like seven years ago. so, back in like the seventies, there was this drug to make pregnant women not have morning sickness, but their kids ended up being deformed because of this thing called angiotensin. basically, it stopped new blood vessels from growing in the baby. so, this old dude was trying to figure out how cancer cells could be stopped from growing, and realized that the problem wasnt the tumors, it was the healthy blood cells feeding the tumors. this other thing called angiogenesis, or the growth of new blood cells, happens with the tumor. in other words, the tumor gives off some chemical that calls blood vessels to it, and where there shouldnt normally be blood vessels, such as in your cornea (the clear part on the top of your eyes), start growing and feed the tumor that wouldnt otherwise be growing. So, this drug that made kids deformed stopped the growth of blood vessels, so, after decades of testing, they found the one molecule that safely did that. they tested it in rats, made it into drugs, tested it in humans, and it worked on most people. out of 25 people, only 2 didnt improve. so there are like 2 drugs out there that usually work for cancer patients, and it isnt a poison like chemo is.

I am starving to death!!!!! So our last quiz meet is this saturday (for the year) then we have district if we make it, which we should since we were first place in december and we are usually pretty good. I think it all depends on if we do really good this time or not. Anyway, I refused to get tmobile, so I have to save money to buy a verizon phone myslef.

dont feel good

I dont feel good today at all. I dont feel pucky though, so I guess thats good. I am taking the compass today, but I'm not going to register for spring quarter. I am already behind in high school, and I dont think I can keep this up until the summer. It just doesnt seem good. Everyone else besides mom agrees that I shouldnt do spring quarter since I have so much on my plate, and that would free up space in my life for a dance class at the ymca and kickboxing, both of which give me highschool credits, and dont have homework taking up my time.

My poor sister

My poor big sister hurt her back the other day. Tomorrow I have to retake the math part of the compass so I can get into a college level math, so I can get into a program, so I dont have to be kicked out, and register. Meaning, I need to get some dough. However, one person owes me 20 bucks and the other owes me 10 dollars, so it doesnt look like i'll get much money anytime soon. also, as if i have too much money, my mother thinks valerie wont be able to afford me much longer. i would love to babysit her kids for free, but i need dough, and I dont have much time to get it. i mean i have to pay stuff just like everybody else. just because im younger than most of the poeple that i know doesnt mean that i shouldnt have any money and they should get it all. also, the mean person in asl wasnt there wednesday. she likes to tell me that i dont understand the world because of my age. she says i will understand men when i am older. i think she is and i-d-i-o-t. im not trying to be mean, but i dont think my mom, who is 40, even understands men, and she is extremly brilliant. she homeschooled my sister and me for most of our school lives, and she has marriage problems. dont try to tell me that my misunderstanding of testosterone is because im a baby. the whole reason i am where i am is because i am not like all the other people my age, however, she loves to judge people.
whew. okay. so, i made some more cookies, and i put them too close togther. two of them had joined together and looked completly like a butt. then i said, mom,do you think its a boy butt or a girl butt and she said girl, and i said, no, it has to be a boy butt, because its perfect and all the girls i know say that they hate their butts.
i was ofcourse joking. i dont really think that. and ayways, nobody's butt is that flat.

Monday, February 18, 2008

*sigh*

So.I have been working very hard to attain to financial and scholastic goals. I suppose its working, but I am tired. Ms. Brenna is spending the night at our house and is like super tired and bored or something. She doesnt like anything I do, so it is really hard. She always wants to go swimming at the y. I am sick of swimming at the y. I want to dance and sing, and play instruments. So, I retired last night very early in the morning. I think I was going to go to bed at 1024 last night, but I was really sick of having a mess in my room, so I got back out of bed and proceeded to clean. I really sort of enjoyed myself. I was cleaning in happiness listening to a book on tape. Agh my parents are driving me up the wall.

Saturday, February 16, 2008

finally!!!

So, just tonight, we finally got the internet hooked up again! I finished my research project which by the way, I have been working on for 2 weeks and had only looked up one website till today. I got paid 70 dollars for babysitting yesterday and gave 5 to my mom because she held Emma while I went "potty", since I was babysitting all day and DONT have a kidney infection, making it hard to constantly hold a sick 2 year old the entire time. So, after saving some of it, I went shopping again today. Just to let you know, nothing calms and destresses as well as shopping when you have tons of dough. In March, I am going to start doubling the amount I save for going to New York with my sister this summer. So, all is well.

Wednesday, February 13, 2008

hey guys. sorry for the random weird stuff that i did in the last post. school got canceled today at clover park tech. because of the snow. Yea!!!!! I am so like totally happy 'bout that. the thing is, it was really boring at home listening to mom snore all day. blech! i was mooning over peter frampton from sgt. peppers lonely hearts club band today, and near tears when strawberry fields dies even though i know she's brought back to life in the end. you can ask me about all that if you dont get it, i just assume everyone knows what i am talking about.

Bordom, bored, boring, bore, (all boring words)

Have you noticed that everything has a pattern and has to do with everything else??? Here's what I mean: Structures dont originally have anything to do with ice cream, but you can make it make sense. Structures-buildings-houses-places-arizona-desert-hot-temperature-cold-ice-ice cream. It could go on for infinity. However, as much as objects, etc. can be made to be related to each other, sounds can not. You can not say that the sound H makes has something to do with the sound of a breathy Y. No matter how you try to argue that it can, I can argue that it cant.
Also, you cant say that choo choo can be related to beep beep by using sounds. you would have to say, choo choo, train, transportation, car, horn, beep beep. you cant just use sounds to explain it.
Okay, so another random thing I have noticed, is the evolution of words. Pay attention, now. People used to say, Greetings. They dropped the s, so it was greeting, now it is greet. As in, greet the guests. then, we recycled the words. greeting is a card, greetings is multiple cards.
next example: mother changed to mum then to mom. now mother is a verb meaning taking care of someone, and a mum is a plant.
Next random observation: keyboarding patterns. When you are playing the piano or a keyboard the most convenient way it is patterned. for instance, if you start with your thumb on c, and play c e g b, you will do it in that pattern, but if you then play egc, you mix the finger postitions. mostly this results in twisted fingers that onlookers would say is more time consuming and confusing. however, it is really faster. see, the whole reason people have a tendency to do this instead of the right way, is because of how fast their fingers are used to moving from playing cegb. when you play cegb, they are already in order, so it is easy to play fast, but when you mix them up, your fingers are still moving faster using the closest finger instead of moving your whole hand to accomodate the finger. this also brings up the question of why there are finger postitions in the first place. however, if there were no finger positions, there would be not starting place.
one more observation, bodies are postioned so perfectly, that a normal sized nose is the length of your thumb top to the top of your index finger, etc. every single part, down to molecules and cells are perfectly aligned that way. there are so many formulas to figure out anything. if you know the length from the tip of your finger to your knuckle, you can figure out the size of anything in your body.

Monday, January 14, 2008

wow.

I am extremely busy. I am listening to some interesting story and doing asl homework. see yal soon.
